Who: Yolanda R. Toney is the daughter of Evelyn R. Drake and the late Marvin B. Jones. She is also the stepdaughter of the late Horace Drake. Inasmuch, she is a graduate of Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications with a minor in Political Science and a Master of Education degree in Language Arts Secondary Education. She is also a graduate of Walden University with an Education Specialist degree in Adult Education, and she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Adult Education at Walden University. In addition to her own educational journey, she is an English instructor at three different collegiate institutions. She has been teaching for nine consecutive years. However, she has been an educator in different capacities most of her adult life. Between time, she has become a published author, a published editor, and a certified grant writer. Therefore, Yolanda is elated and excited to help you write writeously correct!!!

What: Writeously Correct is the brainchild of Yolanda R. Toney. Ever since her elementary days at the former Lincoln Elementary School and the former Colonial Hills Elementary School, she has had a niche for writing. Because of her love for writing, she decided to become an English instructor to impart knowledge upon students who need basic writing skills to communicate effectively throughout their academic, personal, and/or professional endeavors. Therefore, she has equipped students from all walks of life to embark upon a successful journey of endless achievement. Amidst her teaching endeavors, she has found her true passion: servitude. Yolanda is a true servant of God, and He knew that she would be called to serve before she was born, so He has provided her with the wisdom and the knowledge to help those who desire to improve upon their writing skills through her gifts of editing, proofreading, and grant writing. Thus, allow Yolanda to assist you with writing writeously correct!!!

When: Yolanda R. Toney wholeheartedly believes that writing is a form of cathartic relief, for writing removes a layer of stress from the mind, body, and soul. Therefore, she believes that your best writing comes from personal circumstances, experiences, mishaps, and/or testimonies. Writing often allows you to express your concerns, emotions, feelings, and/or thoughts without having to verbally convey them to someone else who might not fully understand what you are trying to articulate and/or formulate. In other words, writing is an intricate and sacred process that avows the purities of your heart to release emotional restraints that cannot be limited by time. Therefore, writing can take place whenever you feel an urgency to freely express yourself through words on a piece of paper. Moreover, writing provides an escape from sensual reality to relentless imagination which leads to an oasis of subconscious healing without limited time. Take time to search your inner most being and pull out the intimate words of your heart. Yolanda awaits to read your words and then edit your words writeously correct!!!

Why: Yolanda R. Toney has always been an inquisitive person, for she believes that questions ignite some of the best/most profound conversations. Inasmuch, conversation does not always have to be a verbal exchange. Therefore, the written word is a prominent example of a nonverbal exchange of ideas and/or thoughts. Thus, writing often serves as a creative outlet that allows others to explore your world of beautiful chaos and/or imaginative discovery. Writing almost always provides a sense of belonging because your voice is heard without having to literally scream to the top of your lungs. Nevertheless, writing grants a warranted connection between you as the writer and your reader. Because writing and reading are interchangeable, human relationships are instantly formed through the exchange of words on a page and reading comprehension. As a result, your reader soon discovers your purpose. With that said, enable Yolanda to writeously correct your purpose for writing, so you can clearly appeal to your reader!!!

Where: Yolanda R. Toney wholeheartedly believes that quality time with yourself is detrimental to your well-being. Intimacy by and with yourself is often neglected in the rigorous routines of life, but allowing yourself time to meditate, think, and/or pray throughout the course of your day invokes a renewed mind, body, and spirit. With that said, writing is an exchange of ideas between you and your spirit. Therefore, it is extremely important for you to find a quiet place when you begin to write your manuscript. Writing can indeed be a strenuous process because there are a lot of rules and regulations to abide by when you are writing in Standard American English. However, writing is a form of free expression, and you have the power to freely express yourself through writing. Therefore, find your quiet place, so you can emerge yourself in the complexities of your own thoughts to create an intimate safe haven. Yolanda longs for you to gather your thoughts, so she can writeously help you correct them!!!

How: Yolanda R. Toney has become a professional multitasker because she has managed to teach at three different higher education institutions and work at a museum in her local hometown. Therefore, she knows all too well how to manage her time amidst grading papers for school and learning lines to perform a first-person narrative at the museum. Meanwhile, she has also mastered the ability to reserve energy, space, and time, so she can live life abundantly as the Creator designed for her well-being, and you can do the same. If you desire to be a writer, do not allow the voice of the enemy to deter you from fulfilling your destiny. With that in mind, devote ten minutes a day to write freely about whatever your heart desires. Your continuous thoughts on paper will soon develop into a phenomenal literary masterpiece. Always remember that no one will ever be able to write your story as well as you can. Therefore, Yolanda anticipates reading your manuscript writeously correct!!!
